June: The Kickoff to Summer

June was a very eventful month for Ace, and we're not complaining! To start it off, we did our usual Mish Mish pop up wine bar on the first Friday of the month. There was much to celebrate, with the beginning of summer right around the corner. The wine was fresh and light, with small plates that truly signaled summer, including a BLT featuring @juddsbreadclub sourdough. 

To ring in summer, we were soaking up the sun outside for the Summer Solstice Block Party with all of our 4th street friends. Inside the cafe, we had Spicewave Events host their event called Sound Cafe, where they perform a house music set. It was a much needed fun break from the heat outside!

On June 20th, we had the pleasure of hosting a late night photo book release party. It was for “Two of a Kind” by Bryan Arnold and Oona Smith. Their photography was beautiful and thought provoking, and photos and books can be bought at Ace. 

Finally, for our fourth Friday event, Duvu Magazine had their volume 3 release in our space with a live performance from Vivienne Artur. It was a great turn out, and was a great utilization of our space!
